At minimum the QRide process takes just over 2 years from scratch: 2 days for the Pre-Learner course, then 90 days on your Learner Permit before you can do the RE course, then 2 years on your RE licence before upgrading to a full R licence. If you just want to ride a LAMS bike, you can be legally on the road within about 3-4 days of completing the Pre-Learner course.
