Being a motorcycle trainer at Australia’s favourite motorcycle school is an extremely rewarding job – indeed, many make our Stay Upright family, their lifelong career.   We provide training to a very high standard and our instructors get to share the joy of riding with others, impart their knowledge, help them to overcome fears and grow into strong and safe motorcycle riders.

Motorcycle Training Instructors (Full Time, Part Time and Casual) –

Sydney, Bathurst & Wagga Wagga, NSW

Stay Upright is Australia’s favourite motorcycle school. We offer a range of courses for all levels of rider, from accredited learner courses to advance road and off-road training.

In NSW, we have ten training centres in Botany, Loftus, Clyde, Campbelltown, Penrith, Rouse Hill, Bathurst, Bomaderry, Queanbeyan and Wagga Wagga. We are looking for riding coaches to conduct licence training.

The Roles

We are looking for trainers who could run weekday and weekend courses at our Sydney, Bathurst and Wagga Locations.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced motorcycle rider with at least three years of riding experience, possible (but not essential)  an experienced adult educator, eager to learn the skills to be a riding coach at a very high standard.

Successful applicants will be keen motorcyclists, reliable, organised, enjoy working with people, and have a burning passion for inspiring others to ride a motorcycle in a manner that reduces their risk on the road.

Reporting to the NSW Operations Manager, you will conduct motorcycle training and assessment according to the Transport for NSW syllabus. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining our high level of customer service and strict safety procedures.

Experience Required

Prior experience in the motorcycling industry will be considered an advantage but are not essential. The mandatory training required to become a Motorcycle Instructor in NSW is provided free of charge by Stay Upright for the suitable candidates.

  • Possess a valid full NSW motorcycle licence
  • Be willing to undertake our full time, five day training course
  • Receive a satisfactory Police Check
  • Have three years of recent riding experience

All successful candidates will undertake our legendary Stay Upright Staff Development Program, designed to assist you in becoming an expert motorcycle coach.  We are an accredited RTO in Australia.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced motorcycle rider with at least five years of riding experience, possible (but not essential)  an experienced adult educator, eager to learn the skills to be a riding coach at a very high standard.

Trainee Motorcycle Riding Instructor (Casual/Vacation) –
Archerfield, Brisbane QLD

As Australia’s largest provider, we train 45,000 customers annually across 22 locations. We take pride in being a family-owned business and have a dedicated team of over 150 instructors, managers, and administrators who are passionate and professional in their work.

 

About the Role

We are looking for casual Motorcycle Instructors to join our teams at our Archerfield, Caboolture and Mount Cotton Rider Training Centres, conducting Q-Ride learner and licensing training courses. Successful applicants will be keen motorcyclists, reliable, organised, enjoy working with people and have a burning passion to inspire others to ride a motorcycle in a manner that reduces their risk on the road. Reporting to the Queensland Operations Manager, you will conduct motorcycle training and assessments according to the TMR Q-Ride syllabus. You will also be responsible for maintaining our high level of customer service.

To apply for a role with us as a Motorcycle Instructor, you must:

  • Hold a current open motorcycle licence
  • Have held your open motorcycle licence for at least 1 year
  • Be willing to undertake training on three units of the Certificate IV Transport and Logistics (Motorcycle Riding Instruction) – see below
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a passion for motorcycles and enjoy teaching others
  • Be able to work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Receive a satisfactory Police and driving history check.

Stay Upright is accredited by TMR and ASQA to provide the training necessary to become a Motorcycle Instructor in QLD. This includes the following units of the Cert IV – TLIC0035 Apply low risk motorcycle riding behaviours; TLIM0013 Conduct motorcycle rider training; TLIM0020 Develop low risk motorcycle riding behaviours in others. These units include both face-to-face and online training. There is a fee for completion of this course, which is repaid over time once you commence working for us.
