Q-Ride Motorcycle Instructors Course

As an accredited Q-Ride provider, we are pleased to offer the training and qualifications required to become a qualified Q-Ride Motorcycle Instructor. Consisting of both face-to-face and online learning, you’ll complete three units of the Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Motorcycle Instruction) (TLI41422). We have specially designed this course with the Q-Ride Licensing Course requirements in mind, ensuring all participants receive the education and skills necessary to become a successful Q-Ride Motorcycle Instructor.

Units covered:

  • TLIC0035 – Apply low risk motorcycle riding behaviours
  • TLIM0013 – Conduct motorcycle rider training
  • TLIM0020 – Develop low risk motorcycle riding behaviours in others

Q-Ride Instructor Course - Theory

The first step in the process of becoming an accredited Q-Ride Instructor in Queensland is to attend the Q-Ride Instructor Theory Course. Taking place over 3 evenings via an online training platform such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, we will discuss the key topics to equip you with the knowledge needed prior to commencing your practical training.

This course focuses on the theoretical requirements around training individuals to deliver effective motorcycle rider training while promoting safe motorcycle riding. It enhances riders’ knowledge and skills in safe motorcycle operation, covering areas such as hazard identification, defensive techniques, proper gear usage, situational awareness, speed management, braking, manoeuvring, and hazard perception. The course also emphasises safety, regulations, and risk management.

You will be provided with a Student Handbook and assessment materials to guide you through the theory training.

Q-Ride Instructor Course - Practical

The second step in the process to becoming an accredited Q-Ride Instructor in Queensland is to attend the Q-Ride Instructor Practical Course. Taking place over 4 days at our Archerfield Rider Training Centre, we will educate you on the practical skills associated with becoming a successful Q-Ride Motorcycle Instructor.

This course focuses on the practical requirements around training individuals to deliver effective motorcycle rider training while promoting safe motorcycle riding. It enhances riders’ knowledge and skills in safe motorcycle operation, covering areas such as hazard identification, defensive techniques, proper gear usage, situational awareness, speed management, braking, manoeuvring, and hazard perception. The course also emphasises safety, regulations, and risk management.
