How do I get my Learner's Licence?
Who:
 |
Anyone over the age of 16 years and 6 months. |
What do I do:
 |
Visit your RTA office and prepay for the course and keep your receipt as proof, or call the Rider Training Unit on 132213 and ask for your choice of Stay Upright Training centres. |
What to bring:
 |
Suitable shoes, jeans/pants and a jacket/jumper. |

You will also need your receipt for proof. |
Where:
 |
7 hours of training held over 2 days, at your choice of centre. |

Stay Upright offer midweek, evening and weekend courses. |
What Next:
 |
Take your course certificate to the RTA, complete both eye and knowledge tests and then a permit can be issued for 12 months. |
How do I get my Provisional Licence?
When:
 |
After you have held your learner's licence for a minimum of 3 months and before 12 months. |
What To Do:
 |
Visit your RTA office and prepay for the course and skills test or call the Rider Training Unit on 132213 and ask for your choice of Stay Upright Training centres. |
Where:
 |
Attend the training centre for a 6 hour course and Skills Test, bring your receipt as proof of payment. |
What to bring:
 |
Suitable shoes, jeans/pants and a jacket/jumper
. |

Your motorcycle (Stay Upright has bikes for hire). |
What Next:
 |
After successful completion of the Skills Test, Stay Upright will issue you with a certificate of competence, which you can take to the RTA to have your licence issued or upgraded. |
